MEET THE COACHES



Chris Bart-Williams- Academy Director 

Born in Sierra Leone and grew up in London, England 
Bart-Williams started playing soccer at a young age and joined the youth system of Leyton Orient. He then move to Sheffield Wednesday as a teenager in 1992. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented midfielder, and his performances earned him a move to Nottingham Forest in 1995.
At Nottingham Forest, Bart-Williams established himself as a key player and helped the team win the Football League Cup in 1998. He also represented the England National Team U19 and U21  
Bart-Williams continued to play for a number of clubs throughout his career, including Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town, and Apoel. He retired from professional soccer in 2006, having made over 450 appearances in his career and scoring more than 50 golas playing as a midfielder and defender. 
After retirement Bart-Williams moved into coaching in the US and he was certain about one thing: he wanted to use his experiences in the professional game to help younger generations. 
He met legendary American coach Tony DiCicco. A big name in the States, DiCicco led the US women's under-20 team to World Cup glory in 2008. He started working as an assistant coach with DiCicco in the women’s teams Boston Breakers and SoccerPlus Connecticut . 
After that he moved to Miami and started working developing the Soccer Program of the city of Coral Gables helping kids who might want to get in their high school team, play at college or make it as a professional. He also have the recruitment element, helping kids find the right clubs or colleges. We recruit domestically and internationally. We want to help kids from abroad get into American colleges.




Xavi Izquierdo- Coaching Director

Born and raise in Barcelona, Spain
Xavi Izquierdo discovered his love for Soccer at the age of 11 and began playing in the youth teams of CF Badalona, CF San Gabriel, and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, where he became an international player for Catalonia U14 and U16.

At the age of 19, he played in the Spanish 2ª B division with his hometown team, Badalona, but unfortunately had to retire at the age of 20 due to an accident.
At the age of 22, Xavi began studying for coaching licenses at the Catalan School of Football Coaches and obtained his UEFA A license in 2010 through the Spanish Football Federation. He has extensive experience coaching all categories in different clubs in Barcelona, and since 2014, he has been working in Coral Gables and other clubs in the city of Miami, where he also obtained his American coaching license





Sergio Lemus - Goalkeeper Coach

Born and raised in Santiago de Chile, Chile. 
He began his soccer career at a young age, playing for the Universidad Católica youth academy, where he developed his skills as a goalkeeper. After playing for the U-20 team, he joined the professional team.
Following his time at Universidad Católica, Lemus moved to the United States to study at Queens University of Charlotte. While there, he played as a student-athlete for the NCAA and also served as a goalkeeper coach after graduating.
In addition, he became the head coach and goalkeeper specialist for the Barefoot Futbol Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He continued to work with goalkeepers by becoming a goalkeeper coach for the Barca Academy, also located in Charlotte. Lemus has also worked with women's teams, including the AGC Football Miami women's club.
Currently, Lemus plays as a goalkeeper for the Dade County UPSL Florida team in the Premier Division while continuing his work as a goalkeeper coach in our Academy
